Laura E. Alston was born in Queens, New York. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Education (BA); and a Master’ degree in Public Administration (MPA). She began writing poetry at a very young age and became published with the International Library of Poetry in 1988. She taught elementary and middle school English in both New York and Virginia, and is currently an aspiring writer and educator.
