Laura E. Alston was born in Queens, New York. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Education (BA); and a Master’ degree in Public Administration (MPA). She began writing poetry at a very young age and became published with the International Library of Poetry in 1988. She taught elementary and middle school English in both New York and Virginia, and is currently an aspiring writer and educator. L. E. Alston is currently composing the Next Life Story series; and has published the first parts of each story on Amazon.  Her children's series has begun with King Joey & The Brightest Star For Abby; a story that uses entertainment for substance and spreads awareness about childhood leukemia.
