Diana grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and moved to America as an adult. She attended journalism school, then worked in Arizona as a newspaper reporter. She later worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as an environmental writer in Atlanta, Georgia. After she retired, she began writing fiction and published a children's picture book,Lumpy the Elephant and Shadows alomg the Zambezi her first novel.
