Diana grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and moved to America as an adult. She attended journalism school, then worked in Arizona as a newspaper reporter. She later worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as an environmental writer in Atlanta, Georgia. After she retired, she began writing fiction and published a children's picture book,Lumpy the Elephant and Shadows alomg the Zambezi her first novel. She then published a short memoir entitled, Mom's Cat Stories, in which she lovingly describes the 11 cats with whom she and her family shared their lives. She published the sequel to Shadows along the Zambezi in 2018. Her latest novel is entitled, Shadows Over an African Heart . It picks up Piet and Jessica's battle to save Zimbabwe's elephants from ivory poachers. The newlyweds team up with Hector Kaminjolo, the recently appointed Hwange National Park superintendent, who seeks their help to investigate the poisoning of several of the park's water holes. Their investigation into the killing of scores of elephants and other wildlife takes deadly turns as team members are threatened, beaten, abducted and imprisoned, barely escaping wih their lives. The stress begins to tear Piet and Jessica's loving relationship apart. Can it be saved? Diana is now working on a historical novel set in Southern Africa in the early 1900s.
