I've been writing as a hobby since I was a child, and in the back of my mind, knew one day I would turn it into a career. After receiving a degree in something completely unrelated to creative writing, I stepped away for awhile to 'earn a living' for my family. However, the absence only fueled the fire, so to speak, and I began writing my first novel at age 29. It is now published and I've several more in the works.
