I wrote A Cappella because the minds and hearts of teenagers fascinate me. Those of us whose young adult years are behind us may still remember, in fleeting glimpses, the exhiliration and trauma of being seventeen, the love that feels so much more than love, emotions and anxieties that threaten to steal our very breath. I believe that communication between parents and their teenaged children is imperative if we want to raise healthy and competent adults.
