I started writing in 1974 through boredome. As a saturation diver I had read every book on the platform while sitting in a decompression chamber for 47days so |I decided to write my own. It was rubbish.

When I got ashore I joined the Katherine Cookson Writers group and decided to learn my craft. I sold three plays for TV but work overseas and a divorce meant Iost touch with my agent.  However, I continued to write for my own pleasure.
