I started writing in 1974 through boredome. As a saturation diver I had read every book on the platform while sitting in a decompression chamber for 47days so |I decided to write my own. It was rubbish. When I got ashore I joined the Katherine Cookson Writers group and decided to learn my craft. I sold three plays for TV but work overseas and a divorce meant Iost touch with my agent.  However, I continued to write for my own pleasure. I retired to Mallorca Spain in 2010 and was asked to start a writers group. The enthusiasm of my students made me look again at some of my past work. I have published 6 novels an written numerous short stories. I also write for the local press and act as a reviewer for two writers sites. I love history and the sea; I use my own experience as an ex naval officer, commercial diver and proffesional yachtsman to lend credence to my books.
