After reading E. C. Bentley's book of Clerihews a few years back I started trying to write them myself but with a couple of exceptions failed miserably.

I then found myself writing longer poems about famous people and fictional characters which had a much more complicated rhyme than Clerihews and contained lots of rhythm and alliteration.

Over the next few months I intend to upload dozens of them to Authorsden.com in groups of three every Sunday.
