I started out writing genealogy books, under my married name.  I've always loved history and family is very important to me.  

I just kept reading romance novels all the time.

Then I'd switch to humor.

Then I'd read about Native American culture and heritage.

But, one thing was missing.  I never knew either of my grandfathers.

My mother knew nothing about her family.  Her father died when she was young.  His father, my great grandfather died when my grandfather was only 6 months old.
