I began writing poetry at the age of twelve. I retired from teaching in public schools after 30 years of service. I thought my poems would be the first thing I would publish. However, my Bible story books came first. "The Bible Tells Me So" with Old and New Testament stories for Children were published by Xulon Press. The Old Testament book won the Xulon Press Children's Bible Stories award in 2011. I have since published 13 other books: children's, devotionals, poetry, memoir, and one young adult novella.
