Information
I began writing poetry at the age of twelve. I retired from teaching in public schools after 30 years of service. I thought my poems would be the first thing I would publish. However, my Bible story books came first. "The Bible Tells Me So" with Old and New Testament stories for Children were published by Xulon Press. The Old Testament book won the Xulon Press Children's Bible Stories award in 2011. I have since published 13 other books: children's, devotionals, poetry, memoir, and one young adult novella. I am now under contract for 3 books with Tate Publishing. My first book is due out in March 2017.

Accomplishments
In teaching, I received the Who's Who Among America's Teachers on three occasions. This award is nominated by national honor society students. This was a great honor for me to be nominated by my former students.
As an author, my Xulon Press award for my first Bible story book was my biggest award. I have had poems published in 3 different anthologies.
I now have a publishing business and self-publish for other authors. I edit, format, and create computer generated cover designs for those books.
