My inspiration for writing "The Whispering of the Willows" came from my mom and her siblings, who grew up in a remote area of West Virginia called Big Creek. I am also inspired to write devotionals as a source of encouragement of women in ministry. I think it's important that redemptive stories are shared among Christians and those who don't know Jesus as a way to share about God's great love.
