I was a visual artist and professor before I retired.
Over the last 5 years I wrote my memoir as well as 4 adventure books for middle graders about 3 appalachian mountain kids.
Most recently, I have started writing poetry and have published 3 poetry books.
Most of my motivation comes from my memories growing up as a poor country boy in the hills of Arkansas in the 1940s and 50s.
