Jim was born and raised in a lower-middle-class family in western Massachusetts. He learned very early on what the value of hard work and a strong work-ethic would mean for him and his family. As the oldest of three children in a single-parent household, Jim worked hard throughout his teenage years, even quitting high school to work full time to help his mother put food on the table and keep their house warm in the winter.
