I graduated from Chico Sr. High School, Chico, CA back when dirt was a new concept. I immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy W.A.V.E.S. where I trained as a Dental Chairside Assistant. Over the years I have taken classes and attended workshops in creative writing with an emphasis in poetry. I also edited the small press publication "RockFalls Review" for six years.My favorite teacher and mentor is Dr. Donovan Welch, Professor Emeritus in Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
