Old Age Ain't No Place For Sissies.
I've spent the last week eating jello, mashed potatoes, fruit, and any mild soup, what is laughinly called a very bland diet because my gall bladder has decided to call me to account for all the years I have neglected it. I can't even get up and move around much because I get really nauseated. No meat, no spicy food, no greasy food, no desserts, good way to loose weight I guess. NOT!!!
I have to go to Omaha on Friday for a biopsy then to Lincoln Monday for a gall bladder ultra sound. Gonna be a grand weekend. Okay. Sooooo much for whining.
We spent 20 days in Wisconsin with our daughter while she recuperated from major surgery. She had a huge hernia repaired and then her plastic surgeon did a royal tuck and roll job on her tummy. She is now all flat and skinny. Next he will do a breast reduction. She will go from a 46 triple D to a 44 C. He'll also do some liposuction on her sides and under her arms so she really will have a nice shape. She then wants to lose another 100 pounds or so. I won't recognize my own child. I am so happy for her. I have always thought she is beautiful but I am majorly biased.
The plastic surgeon complemented her on her beautiful skin. It is so clear and pink. She had very few blemishes when she was a teen. She is very fair but tans beautifully.
Her surgery left her with 26 inches of stitches from behind one hipbone to behind the opposite hipbone but she is healing quite rapidly. Both doctors are amazed at how quickly the scar is disappearing. The scar from her hysterectomy is nearly invisible and that surgery took place a mere two years ago.
She is planning on going back to work May 2. That's just one month after the surgery. She is bored silly. Since she lives alone I can understand why.
