Today was another of those days. We finally rented our other house but now are forced to finish moving everything that we left there when we moved to our present location. It's amazing how much stuff one can accumulate in 17 years.
We spent the greater portion of the weekend packing boxes and stacking them in the livingroom. We received some much needed rain so could not put anything in the trailer to move it. Yesterday we were able to begin moving everything over here to the garage where we will finish sorting.
Today I went to bible study with our pastor, then to lunch and we finished a couple of errands for her before heading home. The study was at a church about 45 minutes from here so I did not get home until after 2 p.m. Hubby was rather grumpy but we only have a little bit left to pack and load then I can begin the clean up. Will not have time for a deep cleaning as the young man will begin moving in on Thursday.
The new rentor is a divorcee and a recovering alcoholic. He seems like a very nice person and comes highly recommended by an upstanding family my husband has known since childhood. He has been hired as a farm hand by this family. They are hard workers but compensate their employees very well and provide all the appropriate benefits.
I hope things work out well for him and for us. We still plan to sell the house and he is aware of this. Perhaps, if his employment is too his liking and his work to the employer's liking, he might be interested in purchasing the property himself.
Writing has been at a stand still since we began this arduous task of completing the move. I don't seem to have the energy to set at the computer, or the table with a pad and pen for that matter. I need to force myself to get on with my journaling and other writing. It will soon be the first of the month and time to start the regular rounds of meetings for the paper as well.
Enough daily grind for today. If I do any more I will be charged import taxes because I appear to be in competition with the Colombian coffee cartel.
