Born in Utah but grew up in Long Beach, CA. After flying in the Air Force over Europe in WWII, ended military career as a Lt. Colonel with six Air Medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
After the war, graduated from the Pasadena Playhouse School of Theater and the Westlake College of Music. Later matriculated (love that word) at UCLA.
Writing career began with radio and TV dramas. Then moved on to writing and producing documentary, educational and marketing films on subjects ranging from the education of Eskimos and Native Americans to astronaut training and nuclear physics.
