Born in Utah but grew up in Long Beach, CA. After flying in the Air Force over Europe in WWII, ended military career as a Lt. Colonel with six Air Medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, graduated from the Pasadena Playhouse School of Theater and the Westlake College of Music. Later matriculated (love that word) at UCLA. Writing career began with radio and TV dramas. Then moved on to writing and producing documentary, educational and marketing films on subjects ranging from the education of Eskimos and Native Americans to astronaut training and nuclear physics. A few years ago, went mad and began writing novels. His first novel, RUSH TO GLORY, a WWII romantic-adventure, took first place in its category in the prestigious Dream Realm Awards. His second, "Whispers In The Night" was an EPPIE finalist. Now has nine novels published in hardcover, trade paperback and as ebooks. Also a composer, with songs in country, gospel and big-band albums. Also a playwright member of the Dramatists Guild. Currently working on the book and music for a musical. On the motion picture front, a long time member of the WGA. Producers have optioned two screenplays and they are now in preproduction. Many agents over the years--two of them good. But the last good one died so currently unagented. Wife Francheska, the former Frances Kavanaugh, a legendary screenwriter of westerns, has a permanent exhibit in the Autry Museum of Western Heritage. We have two children and four grandchildren.

Former national president of Information Film Producers of America. Five "Cine" and seven IFPA "Cindy" awards for documentary films. Pretty fair tennis player.
