I was born and adopted in what I call the other backward state in the USA, New Jersey. This is because they do not have a state run registry either. Then I married, and moved to the other backward state, the one I now call home... North Carolina.
Someday all of the states will get it right, and allow all adults access to their own original vital record.
My writing is motivated by adoption. Adoption right now and possibly the next few years is my absolute PASSION more...
