I lived in a seminary and monastery for nine years before becoming part of the real world. I received a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Illinois. I worked for 35 years as a professional psychologist in a college counseling center, a school for delinquent boys, two mental health centers and in private practice.
