I have always loved reading and children's books. I illustrated my first picture book in 2004 for a Canadian writer, Giovanna Lagana and enjoyed it so much that I was inspired to create my own. I spent every summer evening and weekend of 2006 working on "The Adventures of Sailor Sam" which stars my handsome tabby, Samson. It became something of a family project, as I recruited cousins, cousin's sons and friends as the human characters.
