Information
I have always loved reading and children's books. I illustrated my first picture book in 2004 for a Canadian writer, Giovanna Lagana and enjoyed it so much that I was inspired to create my own. I spent every summer evening and weekend of 2006 working on "The Adventures of Sailor Sam" which stars my handsome tabby, Samson. It became something of a family project, as I recruited cousins, cousin's sons and friends as the human characters. I like to base my characters on cats and people I know as it makes it more personal and special somehow. I am currently working on a second Sailor Sam story and have ideas for several more books.
Accomplishments
Finalist of "Paint a Wildlife Subject" competition for 5 consequtive years. Signiture member of the UK Coloured Pencil Society.
