I began my dulcimer playing/building career as an apprentice to John Carl Ramey of Carter County, Kentucky. John Carl took me under "his wing" and instilled in me his love of dulcimer building. John Carl is a meticulous craftsman with years of experience in woodworking, RC Airplane building and teaching in the local school system. He is a husband, father, grandfather and good neighbor.
