If you have ever visited a model railroad, or perhaps built one yourself, you can easily see how the modeler is trying to tell a story. The reason I use this comparison to writing is because as a kid I built a model railroad. I would place figures and cars along the tracks, imagining a scene. I remember back in the 80's, looking through a catalog, they had a picture of a scene. A freight train going over a trestle, with an action figure of a fly fishermen below it in a stream.
