I started off wanting to be an actor, but while successful in little theater, failed miserably in Hollywood. Had always had a penchant for writing -- in high school I was writing a novel the kids were taking home for themselves and their parents to read I joined the Air Force, had tours in Greece, Turkey, and Germany... where I then had a "fatal involvement," which covered a span of nearly 7 years.
