September eighth nineteen seventy three,
what a beautiful day it turned out to be.
A new beginning to the rest of my life,
the girl I love just became my wife.
We stood before God, our Family,
and Friends.
We took our vows that will last
till the end.
Though we were young,
just seventeen.
I was her king, and she
was my queen.
I vowed to love her,
till death do us part.
The love is so strong,
so deep in my heart.
January seventh nineteen seventy five,
a miracle happened for me and my wife.
A son was born to my love and me,
A blessing from God for the world to see.
July twenty fifth nineteen eighty,
the love grows stronger as I'm patiently waiting.
Another son born to us this day,
to love and to cherish for the Lord I obey.
September eighth two thousand nine,
thirty six years of love sublime.
So many years have come and gone,
But our love remains forever strong.
I thank the Lord every day
of my life.
For giving me the happiness, the love,
My Wife.

Your poetic testimony is very much needed in the world today. So many people have misunderstood what marriage is about, that it is encouraging to read of your long-suffering love. Powerful poem!!

Love Dusty.
This is one of if not the best tribute I've ever read. You are very fortunate to have such love in your life. In today's world of divorces you and your wife withstood the hands of time and still deeply love each other and your children. This touches my heart. Happy Anniversary to both of you. May your love shine always.
Blessings & Peace,
~Linda
