What Are We...Really?

Ever wonder why God didn’t ‘program’ us to accept Him? Well, I am grateful for ‘choice’ and the fact that, apparently, He doesn’t want …robots. But those who …genuinely…Love and ‘know’ that we need Him! Amen, Pressing-on

Poem Artwork

What are we, really…but rescued particles of dust…

once floating in a state of unconscious depth…?

A realm where we existed until Almighty God, He…

reached for us, endowing breath.

Awakening us to His Light that is Life…

we are living souls, yet…as lost ropes

Destined to roam…searching, unfulfilled…until…

we ‘desire’ succoring by our…Only Hope.

Visaged in His likeness, but clothed

with the …weight…of flesh, we do deem

To bear trials of earth, whereby we’re taught…

the candid value of…His Beam.

For far above, beyond and outshining…

any earthly acclaim we could ever reach

Is the ultimate achievement of…becoming…

enlightened to our…need…of His beseech.

Albeit…this tedious, often difficult journey…

is not done alone, as under His unseen vigilance…

The Comforter, who teaches and guides

 attends us…through falls and dance.

Ever directing to predestined roads, where…

at times…He reveals Himself to us

He spreads His Peace and Strength…

cajoling patiently without…force or rush.

Tenderly, ceaselessly…He offers…

the…Reciprocal Love…

Found in His Robe of Salvation…

borne solidly on wings of…Eternal Dove.

So, what is the ‘ultimate purpose’ of our time here?

alas, to escape damnation…the snare of Adam’s crust

and alight Heofon…God’s promised prepared place, for…

what are we, really…but rescued particles of dust…?

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Most of our body's elements came from exploding stars.

What the Bible called chaos, has been evolution reaching higher and higher levels until about 1 million years ago, the first human like people walked the Earth.

But they were afraid. Their world was much more dangerous than ours. Tribal elders passed on by demonstration and word-of-mouth ways of doing things and ways of alleviating fear.

One of the myths has the idea of a single woman like God (in my image) that was in charge of everything and created man/woman different from the animals.

But we are not. Young animals are open and friendly like young children. But when they learn that being open like that is possibly dangerous, they stop.

You are one of the children of God. Only open to God, but not open to freeing yourself from this myth that has such a hold on much of the people. Simply because it's an ancient story of lessons of morality. Not because it's right. God can't make you moral. You have to do it yourself. Love people not God.

Joyce, this poem carries such a gentle truth — that we’re nothing without the breath God placed in us, and everything because He chose to love us. The image of “rescued particles of dust” is humbling and beautiful. The reminder that the Comforter walks with us, guiding without force, as a blessing. Thank you for sharing this uplifting piece.
