I ‘m not rushing you for somethingyou don’t have to give, I’m just passing by, leaving you withsomething that I’m sure you’ll miss, and me,well, I’ve missed enough, far, too, longconcerned, but, then again, I’m not found that conversationI was missing, found a nice guy thatleft me lingering, he noticed that I wasa bit lonely and I found him to be lonely, toohad he not knownthe dipping anddabbing, ducking anddodging of that someoneI was trying to keep out,he would have never stopped by,but, he was on familiar groundswith my heart because his was quite the same,so, I’m straight, andon the up in up andI’m not afraid of all the things I wantnoticed what I had, waswhat he was looking for, that nice conversation,a conversation, one level higher than the most, meaning, I knew how to talk and tell the truth all in one sentence, onebreath, andstill have enough roomfor the sun to shinehe found the sun coming up and aroundour conversation, but, didn’t seem tomind, caring enough to watch me not so lonely,he just let me continue feeling like I had known him all my life, he conversed the same inspired by mywords, he pulled outsome of his own, andinspired me just thesamethought I reminded him of somethinghe had missedsaid he had been missing a good conversationthat had no strings attached, just like the one wewere havingtalking about, whydo people miss outon the best things in arelationshipI asked him what was that?He replied: becoming friendsbecause sex I can get anywhere, it’s just that I’d like to make loveto a woman without any limitationsI thought about what he had saidremembering, I felt the same, soI asked if we could continue this conversation the next day, at the same timehe replied, once more by saying, I’d like that, too, and I think where we’re going will take some time, but, when we get there it will be countlessand with out any limitations although, he held my hand, I was thinking, more or less,of a kiss, at least or at best, one on the cheek, but, he just stood there, gazing, and gazing right into my eyes, seeing the tingle in his eyes as he slowly walked away, looking back, uttering the words, breathtakingwith the sun coming up,and risinga conversation so breathtaking, this had been, and he was my sunshineafter dark, rising and taking my breath, and I was lingering in a place, a place almost forgotten

These Black and Blue Red Zone Days by Aberjhani

Just as life during the pandemic was color-coded with different hues representing different levels of danger, life in its aftermath has become shaded in similar ways. As a self-styled “Seeker of Beauty with Beauty,” (borrowing from a quote by W.E.B.
