One of my favorite colors is red. It means bud'nez!
-Susan
Red is pink and Fuschia too
It's crimson...blush but never blue
It's a new born girl with soft pink lips
The aging actress with ruby lips
It's tongues of passion tickled pink
It's the awe of love when dreaming thinks
It's the primary color of Crayola hearts
For the nubile young lad with Cupids darts
From pinks of a softness meant for his girl
The first kiss of being all in a whirl
Red is a passion tied for the loves
The hearts that beat gently
With pushes and shoves
It's the peaches and posey's the rose of a chance
To open up souls for a newer type dance
The swirl of poinsettias at Christmas this year
Red...yes RED, the nose of a reindeer
The color of Santa mixed with the white
The peppermint vision of all a goodnight
Valentine wishes and frilly curled girls
Reds, pinks and fuchsias for hearts in a whirl
Crimson the color of hearts all year long
Wanting and waiting just to belong..
You covered red from nead to toe and then some!;-)
whimsical fun write. I'm a starlight peppermint addict.

I love read, I used to wear it all the time when I was younger.....red lipstick, coat, dresses, sweaters, hats, blush lol, nail polish........I am not sure why i don't wear it as often now........but it used to be such a pick me up!!! Maybe I got to dig out a few old Red....and give it a go again......lol ty for this......pax A
Red suits you, my dear, as does the flair for extraordinary,
beautiful expressions on just about any subject.
I used to be a "Red freak," in my teens and twenties. Then I
fell in love with Lavender, and it is everwhere...my wardrobe,
my house decor...my garden. Varied shades...from pale lilac to
deep burgundy...I love them all...as I do your poems.

Susan, this is an astonishing example of perfected poetry at its finest my friend. An absolutely flawless delivery and it flowed as the mighty Mississippi River straight into the minds of lovers everywhere. Stunning work, Poet! Red is also the color of power, and this piece had that and then some. Thank you for sharing your timeless creations. Artwork is pretty fabulous too.
