Poem Artwork

Soaring on wings of the endless dawn
Skimming the earth...only as pawns
Before we know it...
In no time at all
We'll deserve what we have
With no where to fall
Let favorite illusions be as they must
Fleeting they come
As going they rust
We've visited before
Devored it all
Savored the taste and just had a ball
Together as friends
Escorting our muse
Shared ageless beauty and boundless reviews
Dearest of hearts and ageless ambitions
Hold me quick...fast
Keep tight this transition
Tomorrow will come and in all our haste
The sunset will blossom with no after taste
Then just as the midnight collapses around us
Our daydreams balloon ...
Our tears become rusted
Our hearts will regain what beat it remembers
As dawn brings new drama to dying old embers
And daylight reminds us that living is pain
Until nighttime commits us to travel again.

We can learn from the trees that you placed in the image above your eloquent words. It took the trees decades or perhaps centuries to bow their branches over the lane. Thousands of souls may have walked there unaware of the slow bowing of the trees. If one has longevity the perspective on time is different from that of those who are present only for an instant in time. In this life we are misled to believe that we fit into the latter category. But that may be just a part of this illusion that attempts to trap us in its mirage of rapidly vascilating life and death. As painful as it may be to us at time, an illusion it remains.

Broome is not a nice guy. He said what I wanted to say. damnit. Excellent wordplay among the days of our lives.

Susan
You paint a surreal and ephemeral landscape of ever changing emotions and sentiments, that chronicle the fleeting moments of time and space, and the key role we play in the eternal drama..
I love that Georgia graphic

I like this one a lot Sue. The snappy one line images are bright and grab the mind like small pinches to say you have been there or you know what that is like. I think this will be one you will publish soon.

Love the photo. Georgia's coastal area, perhaps?

In the poem, you prove beyond any measure that you are one of the best writers to be read... on AD, or anywhere. It plows another field of deep and realistic musing. This is surely a grat one to put over there... where I hold on to the best.
