Shadows with an echo reverberating beat
Cadence of two foolish ones... emotions running deep
Catch the golden ring of love but spare responsibility
Whirl into oblivion... jack knife into it tenderly
Catch the tails of comets then forget just who you are
Love escapes all reasoning when you're coasting with the stars
Fling open all the doors and ride the passion out
After all you're part of two on this "Ship of Fools" ... no doubt
Take every risk you come upon and shirk the slightest pimple
Goosebumps come with courage...it's all plain and simple
This passion pony of the lust that drugs each nerve you own
Reaches to the depth of dares and polishes your bones
Nothing but a miracle can rescue you right then
The fire you're feeling in your heart ...well it's beginning to begin
Upon lessons learned that hurt for life and aches made loud and clear
For fools are made everyday from lust that knows no fear
Then goals are lost when disrespect puts you in a quandary
Then hearts are fooled when emotion's smile and squashes all love's
boundaries.
Lust and desire have to be reined in with complete self discipline
That way, and only that way, can you distinguish between love and infatuation

Boundless, endless, love undying, limitless (to quote Lennon) like a millions suns ... like a 100 watt bulb... such space and freedom in your verses, Susan.
You have uncanny perception Susan! A stunning poem that shows both the heart and mind at work and the lengths to which humans will go for what we call "love"! Another gem!
Yep! You caught the essence of the overwhelming effect of new, true, love. It's how I talk to eagles and soar the heavens on my heart's wings. Great write! -------- Dr.Doolittle

Your prescription, Doctor, is precise, and effective.... also dangerous and harmful, but you have writen it, because you know that there are those who will drink it down with gusto, and pay the bill... tomorrow! Great writing. Almost makes me want to start all over again!
