Does the queit whispers give solace to few
What does it take when rhythms run wild
With wild beats of heart and the smile of a child
The sentence of lovers to the future of holds
With caresses of minutes and gestures gone bold
I love you...is it true ...
A warm promise...at best
The soul of a chance with the brush of a breast
Is fate aroused when these words sip air
Will you fly all alone or sail as a pair
Doves of all lovers lost in the clouds
Cooing and winging singing aloud
Chasing the heart into thorns of red roses
Sparkling eyes ...kisses on noses
Chins turn uplifted embrace the kiss
His love is hers and her heart is his
Butterfly kisses and fingers entwined
Grace of a pair with hearts all refined
Smiles breaking faces and gentle warm hugs
Hearts all crimson with pushes and shoves
Lovers of shadows and warm southern breezes
Quiet forms of sweethearts with tugs and soft squeezes
Lightning displays when evenings bring comets
Flashing emotion from the ground to the summit
Love held on high with the greatest of ease
I love you is whispered upon a southern breeze
The pair of shapes merged in time
Lovers who love...with their love refined.
Really enjoy this ode to that innocence and warmth that is love. It's so often lost in our emotions so stained by modernity and jaded. A lovely piece.

When I think of refined I think of bland, white flour--empty calories. However, with all your poems combined, you've come up with a thousand ways to say, 'I love you.'
The phrase "I love you" cannot be seen or heard in terms of absolutism unless we are dealing with the love of the Creator for us.
The phrase certainly encompasses many levels of awareness and expression, but rarely means what the true romantic wants it too.
Sometimes "I love you" is only a banner that one flies to show what's in the heart, not what the heart is capable of giving. Sometimes I love you is only a work of imagination and is used to get something.
Belle ... you paint another thought-provoking construct that openly betrays what's in your blessed heart with the grace of a young ballerina.
Refined and defined is this excellant romantic write that looks at love from the basics such as a gentle kiss and goes on from there. Anyone who has ever loved will not be able to resist loving this poem. Sweet Susan sweet.
