Patient at her easel
Daubing midnight into shades
Holding to a memory
Before the shape of him fades
Collecting magic from her palette
Stroking acytelene passion's flow
Steeped in eternity
With a sabled sparkled afterglow
She hums a song of rhythm
Perpetuated in love's moving tune
Quietly she acqueices
Keeping time beneath a liquid moon
Slowly she sways from loving
A dance with spirit's creature, strong
Creating bliss for this lifetime
Amour immortal
Just where her love belongs.
Your imagery is wonderful here, Susan, transforming the poem into a painting within itself. Extraordinary -- I do so enjoy your writing. It's always a pleasure to read.

It's amazing how far we can be drawn into the deeper recesses of the canvas that stand deceptively lifeless on the easel. In reality - at least for the conceptual mind of the artist - the canvas, in the form of the subject created, possess an alluring quality that sucks you in.
I love the imagery you employ which for me is in harmony with how my mind engters into the embelishing strokes of the sienna dipped sable.
