I forgot that August and September are "Meteor Shower" months. This poem is dedicated to my father, brother, sister, other family members and friends who are out dodging meteors. I am adding my friend and mentor Fernando Calvo now as he's joined these dear ones on another journey in the heavens.
Tonight the sky is overcast
I couldn't find your star
It was then that I panicked
And I wondered where you were
There are moments in my lifetime
When my passions are layed bare
My emotions run with shadows
And restlessly I dare
To taste the dreams of adventures
In the realm of the unknown
And fly into the heavens
To finally seek a home
Where you are there awaiting me
With arms extended wide
To sit with you and ponder
Should I stay up here and ride?
I could catch the tails of comets
Ride through the Milky Way
Say "Hello" to Orion
Then be on my way
Passed the planet of Venus
On to Jupiter and Mars
Dust the Cosmos with my laughter
Put more twinkle in the stars
I could swing from wings of angels
I would tickle all their feet
Tie their hair up all in tangles
Then gently fall asleep
With the wings of heavens shadows
As my dreams take me to Earth
I would waken with the laughter
Of life and all it's worth
I thank the world for all that's good
As I pray with all my might
I can hear your laughter echo
As it touches me tonight.
The light of your love makes this a brighter world for all of us, your hope and joy pervade this life and the next. What a beautiful write, I love this, Pierre.

I'll come shooting down tonight. Just be prepared...
Like Karla, the beauty of your words revisited is as lingering as the memories they rekindle and as awe-inspiring as the first star in the nightsky. I seem to have spoken a lot about energy in writes today, Susan, but there is never a work of yours that doesn't exude a superabundance, not only of internal gusto, but also of an enduring elevation of mood and thought onto higher and more noble planes. May your smiles rebound, reverberate and echo with those of your loved ones through the heavens. TY Kate xx
I've read this before, Susan, and this touches as deeply as the first time. Powerful, poignant, yet filled with love and compassion: I'm out there, watching, you should see the bolides! Marvelous display.
Magical tour of the galaxies with loved ones and family, who could ask for more from a dream as to have such special memories of these to keep their souls alive. Well done Susan

this image here is quite beautiful.
am i correct in assuming that their star is used to mark them tangibly in the world they have passed through..?
that they have died and the stars are your way of remembering them and being near them on nights that are the hardest.
i have that... a star that is my boyfriend who ended his life three years ago... and i know the panic of not being able to find it...
i think this is a beautiful piece here. i think it incapsulates the way those you love are with you even though they are not here physically and i think the way it ends is just beautiful... the idea that tomorrow is faceable without them...
These timeless quotations culled from the celebrated corpus of writings by W.E.B. Du Bois are presented with illuminating introductory essays by Aberjhani. Narration of the Audible book performed by Catherine Byers.
