If more people looked at others as humans instead of this or that ethnicity, or religious differences, or bank account balance, or ... the world would be a better place. You hit the nail on the head with this poem.

A survey was done by one of our most prestigious universities, its mission was to see how many of the wars in the 20th century were caused by religion. As so many use the clich� that religion causes war. Their result was less than 1%. They found that faith unites mankind. There seems to be an even bigger movement in the Christ centered spiritual movements and the other world faiths going on, with a deeper understanding of who God is...

You make a good point, Susan, but in many cases the hate has been around much longer than there were news reports . . . Religion causes hate, we are seeing that firsthand these days, but it has been going on for centuries . . . As much as I would like to blame out stupid news media, I'm afraid hate has had many allies over the years . . .
