Heavens Moondance (Meteor Shower)

Shadows on the beach in the dark of night
Blankets over shoulders from a chill that might
Come from the ocean and play on your cheeks
Haven't been cold in over a week
Sitting here waiting for stars that move
Watching for meteors...cutting the groove
Tails of light trace the darkness
As balls of stars form a tender caress
Over skies of midnight blue
Chasing lights from me to you
Alone on beaches for hours and hours
Waiting for this meteor shower
Dampness calling...shoulders numb
Dancing skies and stars that come
From darkness...volumes...heavens deep
Tails on fire and memories keep
The night alive in pale moonlight
Years of chasing in our sights
Light beams away in solar's keep
While motion lulls our souls to sleep
Giving us a playful chance
To take in heaven's on moondance
Tybee Lighthouse looms her beam
Playing on the soul and seems
To take away the stress of work
To fill the night with endless quirks
When nature moves on high with motion
As tunes of tides wash in from oceans
When nights are sliced with whitened tails
When centuries show of light avails
The eyes to see and ears to open
A gift from skies and endless oceans.
