Poem Artwork

London's tears are falling down,

falling down, falling down;

scores of bodies all around,

untamed myst'-ry

Puppet Blair blames those unseen

those unseen, those unseen,

Sins of politics now glean'd,

unsolv'd myst'-ry

yet in the Congo screams,

Congo screams;

victims block'd from freedom dream,

un-im-portant

Deaths from war crimes sound like this,

sound like this, sound like this;

"screaming, wailing, dying kiss"

pray-for-giveness

Cynth'ya Added Comment: The following in a note from a friend in my husband's ancestors town of Abbeville SC. John Blythe (associated with the Abbeville Historical Society) sent this without knowledge of this poem.

All I have to say is God definitely knows how to share and network the gift of knowledge and wisdom. (Thanks for sending this John!)

As We Forgive Our Debtors
Bono

Now, for all its failings and its perversions over the last 2,000
years-and as much as every exponent of this faith has attempted to
dodge this idea-it is unarguably the central tenet of Christianity:
that everybody is equal in God's eyes. So you cannot, as a Christian,
walk away from Africa. America will be judged by God if, in its
plenty, it crosses the road from 23 million people suffering from
HIV, the leprosy of the day.

What's up on trial here is Christianity itself. You cannot walk away
from this and call yourself a Christian and sit in power. Distance
does not decide who is your brother and who is not. The church is
going to have to become the conscience of the free market if it's to
have any meaning in this world-and stop being its apologist.

How very wise and true your words are. Nothing justifies today's violence, but perhaps the lesson we are still trying to learn is that until we acknowledge the validity everybody's suffering, we cannot heal that of anyone's. Thus suffering begets suffering and we all continuously scream why. Stay blessed and safe.

Cynth'ya,

Shattering write--in your face, no holds barred, and the pic...

When will the madness end? When will we take care of our own? When???????? These questions must be addressed--

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

Cynth'ya you have said it so truthfully! Such a blunt write!!
By the way, I somehow found myself singing to the tunes of "London's Bridge is Falling Down". Lol.

God bless, Cynth'ya!

Sandie.
