Well sports fans, today has been interesting. Got a few thought-rendering emails from friends, colleagues working to a frazzle, family members caught between a bigger rock and a mountain top, etc, and a call from a dear friend whose elder father recently had a blood clot removed from his brain, another good friend's husband who just had a stroke, not to mention Kenny passing out cold last night for a few seconds because he couldn't breathe (yes, I broke his fall) and I kinda thought:
"Golly Gee Whiz who needs the 11 o'clock news? This must be 'Can't get Dr. Phil or Judge Mathis so let's get Cynth'ya on the horn' Day."
So, as a result of some soul-searching helping friends and family, which has helped me as well get my own priorities and purpose straight, I figured this is the best holiday gift I can share without worry of needing a refund. I was moved to type without thinking.
The words are not mine. . . it's that I believe someone out there who is suffering needs this today. It is not meant to be a chain item. However feel free to just pray this when ever something or someone rubs you the wrong way. Eternity is at stake for us all.
So regardless of what you believe, humor me. This is on my heart, and this one's just for you. Jesus Christ is alive and kickin', get to know Him while your heart's still tickin'. And whatever you're goin' thru, may this prayer from my deepest heartstrings be with you:
Dear God in Heaven, in all of you mercy and kindness: WE praise you together for being the God you are, and knowing that NOTHING is impossible in the name of Jesus without you and your Divine providence. We ask right now that you remind us BOTH to pray for our enemies, and those who do not understand our hearts. You understand everything because in the form of Jesus the Christ, you showed us how to live and treat others.
Continue to show us your true nature by the study of your Holy Word. Thank you for being resurrected from the grave to know that we do not have to follow in the footsteps of those who choose not to honor you and serve you as their God.
And finally, Father God, thank you for understanding each and every one of us, and reminding us to leave ALL of our burdens in YOUR hands. For you are judge, physican, and mighty spiritual healer. We pray for all those we come in contact with, and we ask for your understand your mercy and grace as we represent You with the time you have given to us in this earthly abode, and thank you for showing us YOUR way in Jesus name. . . Amen and Amen!
