ever feel as if you were dealt the
short end of the stick?

did you ever, like me,
fall short of the glory of God

or swallow too quickly
only to end up
short of breath?

has some unsuspecting "friend" your workplace
accuse you of something you did not do because
they were short on patience?

ever attend a tea party on short notice
and when you moved heaven and earth to get there
hoping to satisfy your sweet tooth you discover’d
they were short on short cake because the cook
short cut on the recipe

or maybe you recall a place in time where you
or someone you love was
short on cash for the holiDAZE
and got short temper’d

yet according to randy newman

short people like martin short
ain’t got nobody to love

so in short. . . one could plainly deduce that

short liv’d acquaintances are like  

short flights lost in paradise, while to some the

short and simple truth may be more like

short fiction that cannot be explain’d in

short terms to those who doubt while whistling  

short and happy tunes as if life were a

short commercial on a split screen, or a

short film  that always has a happy ending, or a  

short history that was document’d and labeled as a

short analysis of long term mental paralysis,
short poetry will always have an everlasting effect
