if you aren't quite as good
as folk think you should be,
then enroll in some college
go get that degree!
and then hope that you don't
have to work for the mob
we call corporate america
?--- and beg for a job
that was shipp'd overseas
where the wages ain't worth
all the snot one can sneeze
that one has to clean up
with a mop and a rag
by a PhD graduate,
why should he brag?

but just think if we all
could grow money from trees
then we might find a cure
for all kind of disease
but instead we burn billions
with rockets ablaze
and our eyes watch man's glory
completely amaz'd
as to how we control
stolen earth sea and sky
where the astro-chimps play
but our world's babies cry
from a green space now void
stripp'd down bare and bone dry 
so we poison our bodies,
have sex unprotect'd
while terrorists roam 'round
in our world undetect'd
but fear not oh scholar
there's a job just for you
and so what if your boss
can't add up 2 plus 2
bosses work for insiders
who pull all the punches
decide all the details
from wages to lunches
designing your life
and the length of your service
so don't whine and complain
'cause you might make them nervous
so remember that college
will teach just enough
in a real world of cuts
your degree ain't enough.
