If you don't know a man's footsteps don't try too judge. This poem is about those lost souls who some judge because of their conditions. I use to drink but I've never been an alcoholic or drug user. This is just a poem I wrote about being lost in life. The Ray Charles movie kind of help influence this poem.

Poem Artwork

If I was boozing,
I'd really be losing.
I gave up the bottle,
but life is still a startle.
In my shoes,
you never pay up
 your dues.

Each and every day,
lifes makes me pay.
Most who have my load,
end up traveling disasters road.
After they fail,
some end up in jail.

I should be dead and gone,
but here I sat on my throne.
A throne that shouldn't be,
in a castle with no key.
Residing in the land of zero,
with nothing as a hero.

If I get any lower to the ground,
I'd be able to hear buffalo pound.
Then there are no more,
in this life with no score.
No one knows but me,
my ship got lost at sea.

When you know you're down,
you still walk the ground.
Act like everything is ok,
just to make it through a day.
Everyday you make it,
others don't know you fake it.

Your smile is paste,
covering a life already a waste.
In the junk yard of life,
you handle the misery and strife.
Death will be an end,
to the nothing that was friend.

Booze and drugs are totally forbidden in Islam. Saves a lot of headache and heartache, don't you think?

Awesome... This alcoholic, knows this poem hits home! So many days, so many nights, so many years lost in booze and drugs. Now, my goals are simple, never hurt another and everyday, take another step out of hell...
