Love was about to pass him by, because he was too shy. She was there waiting, but his shyness was dictating. All he had to do was make an appearence, then she would bless him with the love experience.
He didn't really know, she was waiting too go. Day after day she waited by the window, but he would never walk in though. He would drive by her location, then go on with no explanation.
She was outgoing and willing, and found the thought thrilling. She wanted his love, but it seemed it was in God's hands above. Each day she prayed, wondering why he delayed. She didn't know he was shy, that this was the reason why.
Great advice within the lines of this poem...for if we are shy we may be letting the opportunity of a lifetime or the love of our life pass by just like the muse in your poem. I don't know if there is a shy bone within my body...I would gladly go up and speak to the President, or the Queen and never run out of things to say to them...my mother always taught me to speak my mind, never feel embarassed for people no matter the title, appearance, or attitude are just that a person no different than me. I taught my children the same way and they both have the gift of gab, i try to instill this same value within my students...ask, all the other person can do is say no...but chances are they will say yes! Great write....brought memories of my childhood back, and also my first date with my husband of 28 years. He had asked me out on several occasions and I told him no, he was my brothers best friend and I thought it would be strange. I had broke up with the young man that I was dating who had made brags about already having a date for the weekend, so I told him that I did too...and I didn't. Quickly I devised a plan I would ask Dennis out, afterall he had already asked me out before, what did I have to loose. He said yes, well the rest is history...had I been too shy to ask maybe I would've never found my true love. Great write my friend.

A couple of sayings come to mind, One, "God helps them who help themselves" ... and "Nothing ventured, nothing gained". My mother and father used to say them to me, years ago, when I was terribly shy. Eventually, I overcame shyness. In this instance, I hope these two overcame theirs as well! So sad to lose a love this way.
