Got to at least have the nerve to start.

Poem Artwork

Sometimes others have no clue,
why we do what we do.
It might be a little coincidental,
in a crazy world gone mental.
Usually it's behind desire,
or life put on the azz fire.

I started writing because,
it always messed with my head,
rather than live in fear,
I started writing instead.
Basically I was told what I shouldn't do,
at the time I didn't even have a clue.

I finally figured out the puzzle,
put a sock in negativities muzzle.
Go ahead and at least try,
either way in this world we fry.
To put it plain and straight,
walk on through fears gate.

We do what we do,
hope success will ensue.
Success is in the wind blowing,
it's there to catch
if we at least get going.
Losing is always a part,
but
nothing happens if we don't start.

I have always enjoyed writing, when I was young I really didn't know why I just did, I wrote stories about everything. My third grade teacher told me that I had the biggest imagination ever and my stories would someday be read by many. I will never forget her tellling me this...I wrote plays for our classroom to perform at Halloween, Christmas and other holidays...I just kept writing, wrote many poems during my teen years, man they were weird...lots of emotions, you know how teens are. Wrote stories for my children, plays for our church, stories for my students...and journaled and wrote poetry to release emotions, stress and just for fun too...well, now you know my life history, well almost...you've taken me down memory lane with this write...yeah, I've been misunderstood by mnay told it was a waste of time, or I hate this one...I guess everyone has to have a hobby....oooh! Anyway my friend this is a great write truly from the heart of a wonderful artist.
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling
