In the company that I work for the founder wrote one book which is still selling very well. He died before he could write another. Anyway his son who is a vice president of the company will not even think about writing one book. He will write magazine articles and other short pieces though. When I asked him why he wouldn't try to write at least one book like his father did, I almost got throwed out of his office. Of course in a joking like way, he and I are very good friends. This is what he told me, "writing books is too much work and aggravation, now get out." So I started scooting, then thinking how right he was. I know what it took for me to write one book and to stay on this den. Maybe I'll get another done before I die. So goes my poem on this subject.....
Pig headed & stubborn as hell, got a strong attitude as well. Can't write without my tude, still I try not to be mean & rude. This world isn't fair at all, neither is the devil that comes to call.
Every since I started writing, in some way I've been fighting, the pie in the sky perfectionist, too the want a be correctionist. This world of writing is mean, got to be stubborn to come clean.
Weak writers drop out, after they find what writings all about. Anyway writing is like highschool, not many like the term paper rule. Very few will even attempt, writing books they immediately exempt.
I salute all our writers and poets, even the azzholes that flow it.
Another great one my friend...keep the pen handy, never let your laptop close, always have a notepad, for your words come natural...you're work is always a pleasure and about true life situations...loved it!
