Game of Love

Toughest game on earth, for what it's worth.

To play this game
we need two lovers by name.
Romeo is volunteering
Juliet will soon be appearing.
She's planning on winning
even before beginning.

Adam and Eve in the Garden,
I beg your pardon.
Adam is a spoiled brat
Eve is conniving as a cat.
The devil is in the mix
ready to play his tricks.

Before the game got started,
some lovers almost departed.
The game of love is rough,
to make it you've got to be tough.
At least cut out all the shoving
and be more loving.

One
