A fictional romantic poem expressing love in the singular. When it comes to love sometimes we have to trust the heart which is what my character did.
At some point love starts,
later it's the broken hearts.
But it's an adventure that
must be traveled,
my bags are packed for
this trip,
The day I met you I started
packing up my heart.
A love trip can't be traveled
if the heart isn't packed,
In fact my heart was leaving
even before I realized what
was going on,
I stopped it at the door,
Where are you headed heart
I see you're about to depart?
I'm headed out to handle loves
business I'm not worrying about
any ending You can stay but
I want to be free Free to love
what your eyes see What your
brain knows is true Romeo
and Juliet would have never
made history if their love had
never started Your body is
weighted down Heavy with
other burden In other words
I know you're busy but I'm not.
So either you join in or get out
of my way.
So I lost my heart,
I have no pulse each day
I rise to start.
My brain is also gone,
I might as well be a stone.
However I trust in my heart,
I know it had to depart.
To my own admission,
I realize it is on a love mission.
The wandering, open heart of love...how romantic, Gem. I must say, it's traveling in style...having its own "Love Wheels"! Well done, friend...poem and art!
