I read what I wrote
what I wrote read me
My own verse was looking back
then I came under attack
Others might think this is
about you
so you better think it through
It was a fraction of my frustration
affecting my concentration
Maybe it did need elimination
I figured the equation
so I used my imagination
No need to guess
I needed to express
not really to confess
The whole day was a mess
I had surely been under stress
To write or not to write
maybe It shouldn't be put on
my poetic sight
I had to deal with the fright
so I got past the fear some verse is here

Hah! You aren't the only one who writes with a little grinning devil perched on your shoulder. I have a few things I have written that maybe should have been thought out a little before posting them over the years. But that's the beauty of poetry, it sheds light on the poet and how he is dealing with this thing called life. Like Karen said, Write on.
