In a pigs eye, it is this way. Got nothing to do with feelings, it's all the dirty dealings. And I for one have been a victim all my life, job wise and other wise, with the racist in and out of disguise. On AD one of my white friends told me how this fellow poet sent her emails referring to me as, that big nigger.
I tell no lie
only let the truth fly
I'm a victim this is why
Because of my color I
was setup on my job
They accused me of
trying to rob
I was an innocent black man
afterwards I sob
Lost that job
Later I joined the military
only to run into more racist itinerary
Along with other blacks seen
throwed in the bathroom to clean
Smelled the chit
I didn't quit
Right in my face a white officer said
nigger are you afraid
I hate Martin Luther King the
black son of bitch
I had to scratch that itch
I hit the sucker right in the face
then got a transfer out of the place
This chain never has been broken
until this day
I've experienced the same racist way
Even here on AD I'd never figure
but I was called a big nigger
Still I'm not a racist man
I judge a person by his character not his skin
but every now and then I plan
to address the bull
cause this world is still full
It needs to be flushed

You are clearly upset, I can tell but, you know what? I am all the way back at the beginning of the poem...and I am trying to understand why a 'friend' would have told you something like that? If a black buddy of mine on the site, made a derrogative remark (racial or otherwise)about one of my white buddies, I would not tell my white buddy. Why cause bad feelings and contention when the 'cancer' can stop with me? I can correct my friend 'privately' and the other person would never know and get their feelings hurt. The last two lines of your poem; ...this world is full (of hate)...it needs to flushed...sums it all up. And it starts at one person at a time...like me talking some sense to my 'sick minded' buddy. It's better to put out a fire than to add fuel to it. Thanks for sharing and blessings. Joyce * His Inspirations
i can only say that i am sorry that this has been your experience-and even more sorry that this taints every facet of your life-shame on those who continue in racist behavior
Racism is blight. No matter its source. Everyone has been victimized one way or another. What matters is how we decide to play the game. I always enjoy your work.
